‎On Sunday, Dawn Herald reported that the Kogi State Government confirmed launching an aerial and ground security operation following an attack on a Cherubim and Seraphim church in Ejiba, Yagba West Local Government Area, where the church pastor and an unconfirmed number of worshippers were abducted.

‎The state government has rapidly deployed assets, including helicopters and an anti-kidnapping unit, to pursue the attackers involved in both the church abduction and the highway incident. Previous operations in the area have reportedly led to successful repulsion and rescues.
