‎Paris Saint-Germain’s forward Ousmane Dembélé has been named the winner of the coveted 2025 Ballon d’Or at a ceremony held Monday night at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, outshining Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Liverpool’s Muhammed Salah.

The France international played a pivotal role in PSG’s historic first-ever Champions League victory this May, contributing to 51 goal involvements over 59 appearances. His performance earned him multiple accolades this season, including Ligue 1 Player of the Year, the Ligue 1 Golden Boot, and the Champions League Player of the Season.

Apart from his Champions League exploits, Dembélé was instrumental in securing a treble for PSG by helping clinch the Ligue 1 title, the Coupe de France, and the French Super Cup.

The Ballon d’Or gala brought together top players and football figures to recognize and celebrate the key performers who shaped the 2024/25 football calendar.

PSG’s coach praised Dembélé’s relentless drive and skill, stressing that Ousmane’s dedication to excellence and his impact this season have truly set him apart and that the award is well-deserved.

Last year, Manchester City’s Rodri took home the men’s prize, while Aitana Bonmatí of Barcelona secured the women’s award for the second year running.
