President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived back in Abuja, cutting short his official break ahead of the planned schedule.
The Commander-in-Chief touched down at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 6:50 pm, where top officials including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule welcomed him at the presidential wing.
Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, had confirmed on Monday that Mr. Tinubu would be resuming his duties on Tuesday, September 16.
The president had departed Nigeria on September 4 for part of his annual leave, originally intending to spend ten working days abroad, splitting time between France and the United Kingdom.
During his time in France last week, President Tinubu held a private meeting and luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace. The two discussed key collaborations and committed to enhancing the partnership to foster shared growth and global stability.
