Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has assured residents that all road construction projects under his administration will be finalized before his tenure ends. The promise was made during ceremonies marking the start of major roadway developments in Rigasa and Tudun Wada wards.

At a recent kickoff event in Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area, Governor Sani outlined plans for upgrading township roads targeting improved transport links and living standards. Speaking in Hausa, he emphasized the administration’s goal of carrying out these improvements without incurring debt. The governor stressed that only contractors who fulfill their duties will receive payment in full.

He revealed that the firm handling the Rigasa road upgrade is China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), known as reliable and versatile. According to the governor, the contract is scheduled for completion within one year, with mobilization funds already disbursed amounting to half the total cost.

He also acknowledged Rigasa voters’ strong support during the 2023 election and expressed his gratitude.

The governor also inaugurated work on reconstructing Zango Road in Tudun Wada, Kaduna South Local Government. This route is critical for its connection to various key institutions, markets, and proximity to the city center. Sani narrated his personal connection as a former Kaduna Polytechnic alumnus, and made mention of the area’s chronic infrastructure challenges impacting residents predominantly from lower income backgrounds.

With these projects underway, Kaduna State reinforces its dedication to infrastructure growth that improves daily life and fosters economic activity.
