Iran denied launching missiles at Israel on Tuesday, refuting Israeli accusations of ceasefire violations hours after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a bilateral truce.
The Iranian army’s general staff, via state television, dismissed claims of missile launches targeting Israel in recent hours. This followed Israel’s report of incoming Iranian missiles.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz had warned of a forceful response to Iran’s alleged breach of the ceasefire, escalating tensions despite the newly brokered agreement.
The conflicting narratives emerged shortly after Trump’s announcement, which aimed to halt hostilities between the two nations following 12 days of conflict.
Neither side provided evidence to substantiate their claims, leaving the ceasefire’s stability uncertain as both nations remain on high alert.
