The vice chancellor of Olabisi Onabanjo University has officially denied claims alleging that female students won’t be given access to their halls during the ongoing 2024/2025 examinations, without wearing a bra.

Prof. Ayodeji Agboola, addressed newsmen about the rumors which went viral on social media platforms as he denied the allegations, “The story making the rounds online is not true. No students were prevented from writing the ongoing examination.” The vice chancellor revealed the rumors spring from a situation that occurred in the varsity, “The incident that happened was an isolated case of an exam supervisor ensuring female students are properly dressed before entering the exam hall, that student was allowed to write the examination.” He said this because he claims to be present in all exams held in the school premises, “Since I became the VC, I monitor every exam.”

Prof. Agboola assured the public that students will be allowed to write their examinations as long as they paid their tuitions,“I want to emphasise that no female students or any male students were stopped from participating in the ongoing examination, if the student had paid school fees and registered,” the vice chancellor stated. He also responded with revealing the varsities policy on decent dressing, “And where students fail to comply with decent dressing, staff are expected to uphold caution, civility and responsibility in addressing them by reporting the infraction to the appropriate organs of the university,”
