Police sensitizes Zamfara tertiary students on community policing

Zamfara Police Command has organize a two-day sensitisation programme on Community Policing and Campus Safety to students of the Abdu Gusau Polytechnic Galata Mafara.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Yazid Abubakar disclose this in a statement issued to newsmen in Gusau on Thursday, saying that the sensitisation program brought together various stakeholders, including traditional rulers, security agencies, academic leaders, and students.

Abubakar said the initiative was aimed at strengthening collaboration and raising awareness on critical security issues affecting campus safety and broader community security.

The key topics discussed during the programme include; Campus Safety and Security, Cultism and Gang Violence, Drug Abuse and Addiction, Theft and Property Crimes and Principles of Community Policing.
